Mr. Grant’s AP Global History class recently visited the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. There they explored themes of discrimination, dehumanization, and genocide to prepare for their portfolio research projects.
To complement this experience, the class also met on Zoom with Holocaust survivor Dr. Clemens Loew, who shared his experience in Germany and Poland during the war. Cathedralites asked him questions about how he finds hope and peace in the years following the war despite the horrific tragedies he endured.
For their final research projects, students collectively crafted an action plan to combat hate in their own lives, their individual communities, and our society as a whole. Thank you, Mr. Grant, for coordinating this challenging yet insightful experience for our students!
