Led by moderators Ms. Andersson and Mr. Tsouristakis, the World Youth Alliance (WYA) Club engaged with global conversations at the United Nations.
Juline L. ’26 joined the WYA Club because she saw the benefit of “getting to know the perspectives and ideas of other people living in the same world.” At the UN, Juline enjoyed attending “a council meeting where they talked about and explained current issues that are greatly affecting women, particularly in Africa.”
Sandra F. ’28, who aspires to be a pediatric surgeon, shared that visiting the United Nations helped her to see the connection between medicine and global issues. Sandra loved visiting the Salvation Army and learning about women’s health in Africa.
We are grateful for the unique opportunities NYC offers and for our amazing faculty who help bring these experiences to life for our students.
